Peer Support
Confidential phone support with a trained fellow fire fighter
Our Peer Support Teams in Seattle provide vital mental health support to fire fighters facing the intense stress and trauma inherent in their profession, regardless of rank. These teams are made up of trained peers who understand the unique challenges fire fighters face on the job. They offer confidential, nonjudgmental listening, emotional support, and resources for coping with traumatic events, such as debriefings after critical incidents or ongoing counseling for PTSD and other mental health concerns.

The Responder Health Peer Advocate Hotline is a 24-hour intervention and resource-referral service for Seattle fire fighters and their families seeking immediate help.

The Responder Health Peer Advocate Hotline is staffed by officers, former law enforcement personnel, and public safety professionals. It is a safe place to turn for help from individuals who understand your needs. All calls are completely confidential.
The program also works with your health insurance to provide referrals for the crisis you’re facing. The facilities offering care are screened and trained by knowledgeable advocates to ensure the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
Youturn Health
Virtual mental health coaching for fire fighters and their family members
Youturn Health provides a confidential virtual support program that effectively bridges the gap between inaction and active treatment. It offers easily accessible support designed for first responders dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts, regardless of where they are in their mental wellness journey. Youturn’s cornerstone resource is its peer coaching program, which includes unlimited support sessions.
Youturn also offers a robust online learning platform with over 500 educational and inspirational videos.
Their services are available to active fire fighters, retirees, and their families at no cost.
