Find a Primary Care Provider Who Works for You
The Seattle Fire Fighters HealthCare Trust offers Direct Primary Care (DPC) through Hint Connect, giving you and your covered family members access to participating primary care providers in your area.
DPC is a good option if you don’t currently have a primary care provider or aren’t happy with the provider you have now. It gives you an ongoing relationship with a provider you can turn to for routine care, preventive health, illnesses, injuries, and help managing your health over time.
Important: Receiving care at the Station 2 Clinic does not mean you have a primary care provider. Station 2 provides important occupational and follow-up care specifically for Seattle fire fighters, but it is not a replacement for an ongoing primary care relationship.
What Does DPC Include?
With a participating Hint Connect provider, you can get primary care without a copay for DPC visits, including:
- Routine and preventive care
- Annual wellness visits and physicals
- Pediatric care
- Same-day or next-day appointments when available
- Care for common illnesses and minor injuries
- Chronic condition management
- Point-of-care testing
- Mental health screening
- Referrals and help navigating additional care
Many practices also offer virtual appointments and direct communication with your provider by phone, text, or email.
Why Have a DPC?
Having a primary care provider means having someone who knows your health history and can help you stay on top of your health—not just when something goes wrong.
And because Hint Connect includes a network of DPC practices, you can look for a provider who is a good fit for you and your family.
